Hello Folks;
I’m Richard Fritz, the developer and manufacturer of the Scooter Ride Along.
This product was born from a very personal experience and a simple goal: to help people enjoy life together again.
How It All Began
A little over a year ago, my wife was diagnosed with kidney cancer. The illness spread to her spine, causing severe pain and making it difficult for her to walk. During our cruises, which we loved taking together, she often had to use a wheelchair.
On one of those cruises, I found myself pushing her up a long dock beside a friend who was using a mobility scooter. Half-jokingly, I said, “I wish we had a rope to tie onto your scooter so you could pull her instead of me pushing!”
That moment sparked an idea. We tried positioning her wheelchair behind the scooter, and before we knew it they were off, gliding together with ease. We all laughed, but something clicked. What if there was a simple, safe, and comfortable way for a spouse or partner to ride along instead of walking or pushing?
That’s when the idea for the Scooter Ride Along was born.
The Invention
The Scooter Ride Along is a pull-behind, stand-on attachment designed for mobility scooters. It allows a partner, friend, or caregiver to comfortably stand and ride along — keeping everyone together and making travel more enjoyable.
Built with durability and convenience in mind, it supports up to 400 pounds, making it perfect for carrying a rider, luggage, or even a cooler for your next event.
It’s more than a mobility accessory — it’s a connection tool. It gives couples the freedom to move together again, to share experiences, and to rediscover the joy of getting there together.
Join the Ride
We believe the Scooter Ride Along is reasonably priced for the independence and togetherness it restores.
If you’re interested in purchasing one or would like pricing information, please reach out to us by email or phone. We’d be happy to help.
Thank you for taking the time to hear our story and for considering a product built from love, necessity, and a desire to make life’s journeys a little easier for everyone.
